If I send emails to a group, is there any way to find out if anyone in the group is forwarding my email/
If there is, what information would I be able to get, would I be able to find out for instance to which email address it was forarded?
I have read somewhere that you can attach some sort of tracker to emails but not sure if that is correct or not.
Even if it is true, I assume that if the content of the email is just cut and pasted to a new email this would get round the problem.
Thanks

No, there is no reliable way to find out.
There are as you say products that claim to be able to track emails, but they can't be relied on to work properly, because they generally rely on "active" content. If the recipient's email client refuses to run active content, it won't work.
Depending on what content you are sending, it may be possible to "watermark" it, which may help to demonstrate copyright or IPRs at a later date, but that still won't help you find out where it's been sent.0 -
A common tracking method is to use an invisible linked image in the email, and then you can detect if the email is opened - however most modern email clients block access to linked images for this very reason.
Assuming it wasn't blocked, the only real information you'd get from this is the IP address used to access the email, the time it was accessed and possibly the software being used to access it.0
