Credit/Debit Card Insurance against fraudulent use

Hi Guys

I'd like to know if many of you take out insurance on your credit and debit cards to protect against fraudulent use? If so who do you use and is it possible to get cover that covers all your cards.

I've got quite a few cards and indulge in matched betting so lots of interent betting accounts would have my details.

Thanks

P

Personally wouldnt touch "fraud" insurance - you have enough protection rights under the CCA for anything that you spend on a credit card. My bank account gives a slightly lesser protection on my debit card so simply always use my credit cards when I think there is any "risk" (eg online)

I thought that some credit card companies make you pay a £50 excess when there has been fraudulent use.

Why would you need to pay extra for something that you are covered for anyway by the card issuer?

Thanks for the comments. I didn't realise that the banks and credit card issuer automatically cover you for fradulent use. Just checked with 1st Direct & Nationwide and they have verified that they will pay out if ever i was a victim.

    Happy days
