Just a though, (and I admit to not reading the entire thread), but could you not get a 'classic' synth from ebay - like a DX7.
Very good piano sounds, and they have aftertouch etc.. (not weighted though), but they are going for around £100 at the moment, and I am absolutely over the moon with mine.
I tried all sorts of keyboards that were a lot more money, and in the end it was the one for me AND the cheapest.
If I'm barking up the wrong tree, then please accept my apologies ;-)0 -

Nah, thanks for the idea but I've already got a touch sensitive jobby. It was all the rage about 10 years ago when I got it. I might check out ebay to see what the resale on mine is though..The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

Yeah! Don't you just love that! I've got 30 items on at the moment from my new business and they'll only fetch £1.50 each but i'm excited.

Check the postage costs carefully - I get caught out every time - this time I've just copied over the most expensive of the others selling the same product £4 for a boxed cd set should be there or there abouts
If its books/cds check out Amazon which is loads easier but heavy on the fees and you could be waiting ages for a sale.
There is a board on here about selling things on Amazon/Ebay thats got loads on hints on it.The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

Iknow it's slightly off topic, but I have a D50 as well!
My brother-in-law and I are in an 80's cover band, and he bought a DX7 II a while ago, but couldn't work out how to get the sounds he wanted, so he gave it to me (thinking that a programmer MUST be able to do it ??).
I got so hooked on it, that when he took it back I had to have one (I'm the guitarist, not the keys!)!
I just love that 80's sound!
The moment I turn the thing on, I get all goosebumped from hearing those familar sounds from when I first started buying music!
Anyway, sorry to highjack your thread. Please carry on as if I were not here.0
