none working wifes credit card

my friend is a none working wife she has a credit card with i think barclays , she is paying interest on her balance her husband is a company md . i have advised her to get an interest free card however she thks she cannot apply for one as she doesnt work and doesnt want a card in joint names is this true any advice greatly appreciatted

    Hi,
    What is a none working wife :)? She maybe able to get a credit card depending on wether she has some sort of income from say investments etc. It depends on the provider. Maybe she could contact her bank.

    Some times they take into consideration the house-hold income ??
  • Many cards have the option of "homemaker" under employment status and they then go on to count the household income.

    Well, the husband is either a very bad MD who is no good with money or he is so selfish that he will not give his wife money to pay of the debt!
