Why am I blocked??

I've just tried to bid on a low cost item on ebay - the seller is not someone I have had dealings with before, but hers and my feedback is 100%.
I do not have any NPB strikes against me, yet when I tried to bid, it said that the seller has blocked me....!

Why would this be??

Just because you have 100% feedback does not make you a good ebayer, well if your a buyer anyway!

The chances are your id has popped up on a forum as a problem buyer, that seller has seen it and banned you from bidding on their items. (either that or you are new to ebay)

I have a lot of ebayers banned from bidding on my items that i have had no dealings with and who appear to have 100% feedback too due to postings on various forums.

how many feedbacks do you have?

That makes no difference as you can only block those with minus numbers.

I have feedback of over 600.

I've only had one problem with a seller in the past, and I've not popped up on here as a problem buyer...!!

Thanks for the suggestions though - shame though, cos it's an item I really want for a present for someone.....and it's not likely to come up again before their birthday.
I messaged the seller to ask, but they haven't replied.

I had a buyer recently email me because he was blocked, checked and he was on on my list.

After checking back further its turned out I had purchased something from him a year earlier which turned out to be a troublesome transaction, took the best part of a month to get item, then not as described, sorted out by paypal in the end. Blocked him to save any further hassle (also learnt to set up seperate buying & selling accounts).

To be honest now anyone blocked from my auction then they do not meet the criteria laid out in my seller prefences.

Have you had any problems with on ebay that would cause you to be blocked?

Could you google your ebay user name & see if it has come up in discussion somewhere?

I have blocked a few ebayers in my time too - like you say, after troublesome transactions etc.

I buy and sell quite a bit on ebay and this is the first time that I've come across this, so I don't think I can be a problem buyer!?

Thanks for that - nothing found other than my feedback left and received - not in discussion or on a big red avoid list..>!!

Ah well, never mind - funny thing is that it's something that probably won't sell to anyone else..!!!
