Transferring Bradford and Bingley ISAs important info!

Just thought this info may be of interest to readers on this forum. Like hundreds of people today I made arrangements to transfer my matured fixed rate ISA currently with Bradford and Bingley into an ISA with another provider. Having completed the transfer application I thought I would go into the B & B branch out of curtesy to inform them of what I had done. I was told that the account details and sort code had changed as they are now Santander!!!I had completed the transfer form with the B & B details as I didnt know they changed account number and sort code without informing me.I had to go back into the new provider branch and waited half an hour to see someone to change the form. This may prevent a lot of people doing the same thing. It may have been curteous of Santander to inform customers of this change especially as a lot of people are currently sorting out ISA's. Just another headache thanks Santander!:mad:

Dunno why you visited B&B. Waste of time if you ask me.0

No I am very glad I did go into B & B, it wasnt a waste of time at all. If I hadnt gone in I wouldnt have known that the details I completed on the transfer form were incorrect and as it takes so long anyway to complete the ISA transfer this would only have delayed things further.0

The details on the form weren't incorrect, they had just been replaced. It's not as though your cash wouldn't have been transferred because the account details had changed.
My last ISA transfer from the Santander Group took less than a week.0 -
Of course it wasn't. If they hadn't, how long would it have taken before they found out that the transfer application form had incorrect information on it.pressuredrop wrote: »Dunno why you visited B&B. Waste of time if you ask me.
Thankfully I moved my B&B ISA some time ago.0 -
Well that is encouraging to hear, some good news about Santander! I was told by my new provider that it would have seriously delayed the transfer. Does anyone know what theyre doing anymore??? Fingers crossed anyway.0

Your new provider is suggesting that Santander wouldn't know who you are? I guess Santander are unable to locate your ISA as they only have your name, address, account number, sort code and NI number. Yeah, sounds difficult.0 -
Santander sent all exB+B ISA account holders their new account number, sort code and balance last June.I know this as I closed the account as soon as I got the letter.
I have a deep burning indifference0 -
Well they didnt send me any info, or I never received it anyway! Waste of space Santander!0
