Glasgow to Bristol, somewhere to stop halfway.

Were travelling from Glasgow to Bristol in mid-May and want to stop somewhere halfway for one night to break the journey up.
Anyone recommend anywhere to stop or know of anywhere giving a deal for a one night stay, just 2 adults, not far from motorway so we can continue our journey the following day.

Yes had thought of them but just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere else worth a try. If all else fails then will just book a Travelodge for the one night.

Knutsford Tabley Travel lodge is ok. Just off the M6, we stay there when we drive from Newport to Ayr

we are going from ayr to cornwall and are stopping on the wat home at stafford travel lodge just off m6

hoping to drive down in 1 day leaving early morning 3am ish so wee one sleeps most of the way
