Challenging Natwest - Advice Please!!!!

Hi All ........
After reading about the successes on bank charges on this forum, I decided to contact Natwest again. I initially wrote to them and they replied the hole bish bosh bash about the court ruling. Due to being made redundant in October 09 I wrote again stating hardship. They replied requesting my financial details. I received a reply from Natwest stating that I do not fall into the category of financial hardship due to sufficient savings, assests and investments to meet commitments. In relation to this comment stated by Natwest, I have £14k in an e-ISA with them.
I am desperately trying not to touch this as this is a potential deposit for a home as my mum has sold the property where I currently live.
I am unsure how to pursue from here..... Any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks

Hi Onlypaddy,
Thanks for replying. Initially I was not going to go down the hardship route but when I was made redundant I thought to pursue this route as times were a little tough. As mentioned before I do have my savings but this is for a property.
I am not sure how to continue now .... any advice anyone????
As I know I cannot make the money dissappear from my account. I am in the process of moving my ISA money to another bank but I assume that would not make any difference.

On financial hardship, there is no case especially as you have the £14K in savings. I would read Martin's Guide to reclaiming and keep reading and trying to understand exactly how to argue your case legally. Hope that helps.0 -
