sony memory stick pro duo help please

hi i have just ordered myself a new camera which is a sony dswc-w290
the site offered me a bundle including an 8gb memory stick , but it worked out much dearer than buying it all seperately on ebay.

my question is ;
are all memory sticks the same ????
if you put in ebay "memory stick pro duo" , thousands come up. when i also add the name of the camera , it reduces it to 2 , and they are 4 times the price !!!

could i just buy any 8gb memory stick pro duo ???

Best to buy the fastest Pro Duo card you can afford. Sony are not the only producers around. Just make sure whats the maximum capacity the camera can take.

I think the main difference between the models is the speed of the card.

I bought my daughter a Sony DSC-HX1 and found this at 7Dayshop.com.

The card works perfectly, has plenty of capacity and is fast enough for all her requirements.

omg i feel really thick now - i didn't know memory cards had a measured speed !!!!!
