    He told me that I could purchase other things in store, I let him know that furniture et al wouldn't get the washing done.

    Did they suggest anything else?

    I would write a letter of complaint and go to trading standards!! If they sell the item, they should accept the vouchers for it!!!

    :eek: Surely unless it states so on the back of the voucher they HAVE to accept them? Unless it says excludes blah blah blah then they have sold the vouchers in good faith that they can be redeemed for anything in store. If not then they are selling them under false pretences (sp?) and they HAVE to be refunded. Bad M&S :mad:

    OP - just out of interest, how much are the vouchers for?

    Perhaps trying to sell them on Ebay is the way to go.

    Just an idea, but Debehams Gift cards can be used online (bought a handbag that way!!) So could you go instore and buy a gift card using the vouchers???
