hi there got bought an Acer laptop for christmas - really pleased and worked really well until last week. screen seemed less clear but we put that down to the glare from the sun. then I switched on as usual and it said "need to reboot - please insert reboot disc and press any key" - my OH bought me it and said there was no disc with it. could do nothing with it. went away for a few days and tried it this morning and nothing at all just a murky dark green/black screen. don't know what to do? should I just phone Acer? would really appreciate any advice.

Where did you buy it from? If it was new it ought to have come with a disc.0

Hi OH bought it from pixmania. as it happens it's working perfectly now so anyone got any idea what might have gone wrong and how i can prevent it in the future? I'll ask him again if there was a disc but he was fairly adamant there wasn't. Maybe there should have been one in with it when he bought it?0
