Empire Direct

I dont know if this is the right place to post this question but never mind.

I bought a TV from Empire direct and took out the extended 3 year warranty in july 2008. They have now gone bust and my tv has just got a blue line down the centre of the screen. I have contacted the people who bought the company and they have said they didnt take on the extended warrantys so now i have a tv that doesnt work properly and is less than 2 years old?!?

What cani do now?

Who is/was the extended warranty with, was it definitely with ED or was it a General Accident policy?

Also, you could always try the manufacturer to see if they'd be sympathetic to your problem.
