I have just been billed £372 from Scottish Power for 3313 units of electricity over 118 days (Dec. to Apr). That is 28 units per day, £3 per day.
Does that sound reasonable for a very small one-bedroom detached bungalow? It is heated by one convection heater and only uses electricity for cooking, computer and radio (I have no television). I tried to keep the heating as low as possible during the winter but my pipes froze and I had ice on the inside of the windows. It is the size of a small garage and has single glazing and thin damp walls.
Many thanks.

Is it an actual reading or an estimated one.
Seems pretty high to me, our useage (1 bed garden apartment, but sounds bigger than your place!) uses about 6khw during the winter, but that doesn't include heating.
If you've a 2kw heater on for 10 hours a day, that would bring the use up to your levels.Self confessed nerd when it comes to anything financial and/or numerical! :cool:0 -
Yes the consumption does sound very reasonablefor 4 months over a very cold winter - especially a detached property with poor insulation.
That said, depending where you live, you should be able to get 3313kWh for less than £372.0
