Combi Boiler Safety Certificate

Hi

We had a new combi boiler installed in March 2007 and though I was unaware of it at the time, I didn't receive an installation safety certificate. All I have is the invoice for the work carried out, the Corgi installers number is on there.

We are now considering moving house and I realise that I would need this certificate to pass onto the new owners. The plumber that installed the boiler has since gone to live in Austrailia so my question is can I have an inspection carried out retrospectively and a certificate issued? Who could do the inspection?

Are all gas appliances subject to this certification? The new gas fire we had installed did come with a certificate some days later but the new gas hob in the kitchen did not.

Just trying to get myself upto date should we take the plunge and move.

Thanks
TinTin

Thanks for this. It's been serviced every year and no problems as yet (touch wood).

    I will check this out
