Hot tub and electirics triping?

Sorry if this is is the wrong place, feel free to move.

Got a Hot tub last year, same firm did electrics-electrian supplied by them.

Had no trouble with it until now.

Switch it on and it runs for 5 mins and when the heater kicks it it trips every thing.

Rang them and tried several things, but they thought it was just triping outside but its triping the box in the house.

They say its a fault with our electrics and not the hot tub, but only trips when hot tub is on.

Going to get someone out, but any ideas?

Something is not right somewhere but not changed anything.

At a wild guess I'd suggest probably the heating element has blown leaving an earth fault - it all works fine until the power hits the heater and then I'd guess the RCD is tripping out. I'd guess its not a DIY fix.

I had the same problem with my hottub. The fault with mine was a worn pump seal. Water was dripping from the pump on to not very waterproof connector. This was causing the RCD to trip.

The repair firm brought in to fix it could not replace the seal. I had to buy a new wet end from the US and fit it myself. Hottub was not working for 5 months.
