Looking to go to uni at 21

Hey everyone, after leaving school at 16 I was dying to get into work, but now at 21 I'm in a pretty generic job, it pays quite well but I want to go into marketing.
I live in staffordshire and my boyfriend lives in Hertfordshire, so as I wanted to go to uni, I could move down there but as I only have GCSE's and the odd NVQ obtained via work I understand I cant just go straight into uni,
The business school there seems quite good and I emailed the tutors who said I could do an access course which would entitle me to go onto the uni course,
theres nothing in my area that has marketing or advertising so all I could do is move there... Is it possible to get student finance when studying an access course?
and what is the working hours per week limit when you're a full time student?
hope someone can help or point me in the right direction!
Thanks in advance!

No funding from Student Finance England for access courses at all, I'm afraid.

Unless you already have a level 3 qualification, your course fees should be free and you would be eligible for 30.00 per week Adult Learning Grant. Most people in your situation would support themselves on this and part time earnings.

Access courses aren't usually specific as to Marketing or Advertising (or even for Business Studies for that matter) so you could do something much more general locally to where you live now. Alternatively, check with Hertford that they will accept it and look at doing a year with the OU, studying an introduction to Business Studies unit. You could do this while you work and you'll probably get your fees paid.
