British Gas Final Bill

When I switched to Ebico in July, I received a letter from BG asking me to phone them to give final reading in order that they could send me the final bill and basically close my account with them.
I did this on the same day as their letter arrived (had to hang on the phone for ages but was determined to get it sorted out). Haven't received the final bill yet, so phoned them again today and was told they have no record of me phoning the final meter reading in!!
I gave that final reading again and was assured that they would send the bill out shortly and was I aware that I still owe about £100. I am quite aware that I owe them that and will pay it upon receipt of the bill.
I just hope they are not using it as a stalling tactic and that I was actually switched to Ebico on the promised date.
Even if Ebico's prices do go up, I will NEVER go back to BG gggggrrrrrrrhhhhh!!

Did you goto Ebico for Gas or Electric or both.
If so ring the M Number hotline to see if you have been transferred over to Ebico if your worried. Your local distributor will have a Meter Point Admin Service and you can call through to Transco to check for Gas (Providing not in an IPGT Area if you are check your bills should have the number for your local IPGT on there)
You would at least have piece of mind that you have moved.0 -
