Just been to The Link in basildon looking for a mini-SD card for my mobile. They had 2 256 Mb Sandisk Mini-SD cards marked up for £19.97 and 1-512 Mb one for £29.97
I wanted 2 so bought the 256Mb ones and they rang up as £9.97 !
I asked if the 512 was reduced too but sadly it wasn't.
Might be useful for someone out there but there are none left in Bas...

I was looking at buying one of ebay, but there seems to be alot of fakes around, claiming to be certain brands, and/or hi speed & when tested some of them perform at less than half the quoted speed. If speed isn't important, ebay is the place to go, otherwise buy from someone like ebuyer, mymemory or svp.joshtbh wrote:not bad but I got a 2Gb Mini SD card with a SD adapter off eBay today for £20.24 delivered.Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -
speed isn't important for me, even though i'm going to be using my card in a high speed phone (Orange SPV C500) i'm pretty sure the card can do over and above the speed that the phone can handle (And that is pretty high speed)0

Should be no problem then, you've got yourself a bargain! The reason I'm being careful is I'm running tomtom on a xda mini and there are issues running that on a slower speed card. Just thought I'd warn anyone who's in a similar situation.Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

I have never noticed any difference in speed between any cards.
Don't waste your money on so called hi-speed cards that are over priced.
I run Tomtom on an Ipaq and a Nokia phone using cheap SD cards, and it works perfectly0 -

I just got a XDA mini .. do you not find it really slow .. only has a 195mhz processor which is not very good for what is otherwise an super piece of equipment.
I have a M5000 as well and that is 3 times faster .. altho it is 3 times larger as well.0 -

Try playing somethinkg like Microsoft Link (installed to the SD card) with a slow speed card. Unplayable as it it too slow....
