Looking for charity cycle events

My fiance has taken up cycling recently, my dad is an ex pro and my brother a current semi-pro so there is a lot of it in the family! He's keen to find some charity events to work towards (not something either my dad or brother do unfortunately), does anyone know of any he could participate in later in the year? We're in the North East if that is relevant.

The Edinburgh to St Andrews one was great, though the year I did it it was dreich all the way.

Have a chat with local bike shops as good ones will know the local charity rides and clubs.

Bear in mind that some of the big rides can be more like herding big crowds than an actual bike ride. That's fine if you just want to do it for the social aspect but sometimes the lesser known charity rides can be better if you actually want to ride
