trojan help required

I had a trojan alert via avg 9.0, saved my data and did a full factory settings recovery, would that have removed the virus compleaty?

Assuming the factory reset completely wiped the drive then put it back to the day you got it, it should have

if your unsure give it a scan with malwarebytes

(On a side note, bit excessive for an AVG alert isnt it? It could easily have been a false positive and it probably could have been easily removed.(

Had problems with the pc before with viruses, so it was persistent, backed up my data and did a factory setting, just to be sure this time. Scanned the data for viruses came up as clean.

If you don't trust AVG to do the job (I wouldn't) then why use it?
