Tax credits and working term time

i currently work 52 weeks a year, but i have got the option of working term time only....... so what would i do with regards to tax credits ??

when i am not working i presume i get no tax credits is that correct ?? as i only work 16 - 18 hours a week

and i would only need childcare in school time, so would i calculate the yearly total and divide by 52 to get my weekly payments...

want to check my options before i decide

Yes average everything out over the year. Remember you may still have to pay the childcosts during holidays even if they aren't attending. Depends on the childcare provider

what about my hours though do i average them out as well ??
luckily where my children go i can just have childcare in term time and no holiday care and i dont pay......
my hours would be 12 a week averaged out, so i would not get help with childcare surely ??
