Beneficial Finance/Marbles/Orange Credit Card PPI Claim

Hi,

I've taken my claim for PPI to FOS and have just received a letter saying it is now being passed to the adjudicator. I've made my claim on two grounds:

1. I was missold the insurance as I waspressured into taking it - being told there was no cost to me (I think this was because at the time there was no balance on the card) and I never received policy documents;
2. The policy was not suited to my needs as I am a teacher working in an oversubscribed and successful school so if I were to lose my job, it would have been my fault and I wouldn't have been covered anyway.

I didn't actually realise I had PPI! There was £40 a month coming off my card called "Payment Freeze", as I was over my credit limit, I assumed this was a penalty charge.

I was just wondering if anybody else had dealt with Beneficial Finance (specifically with the card that was originally Goldfish, then Wanadoo, then Orange, then Marbles and then BF!!)

I'm sure there have been success, but have you also checked on the above success thread as well?

Thanks, could really do with the money!

I have tried searching for other successes but as this card has changed names so often, it's tricky to track down if anyone else has had any luck!

I have also got PPI on a BF card that was originally Freeserve, Marbles etc card.
Do I try and claim from Marbles who the card was with when I took it out, or BF as it is now?

Hey,

Well... I wrote this 2 years ago and a lots happened!

I made the complaint to HFC. It went to FOS. 2 years later whilst in the queue for a final decision, HFC offered me a good will payment of the full amount.

I accepted, paid off the card and closed the account.

And it only took 2 years...!

Where would I write to them, and what I would I send as well as the questionnaire?

In the first instance, write to whoever currently runs your account. They may pay up now since all of the PPI stuff got easier!
