Southern Electric
My last quarter bill should of been read on the 13th February, but because of issues with there meter readers i was sent a letter telling me that it would be read on the 17th March.I have still have not been billed despite two phones calls querying this.
Does anyone know what my position is,concerning this issue,as it appears my phone calls are falling on deaf ears.Obviously with the cold winter my bill is mounting up.
cheers

I would chase them as someone last year switched me from quarterly to 6 monthly billing without me realising which caused me HUGE problems(so much was going on that I just didn't notice I hadn't had a bill for ages). Can't you just submit your own meter reading?Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Oddly enough i did offer to give them my own reading, but the Computer said NO lol.I think its a attempt to switch me to direct debbit, but i am self employed,so i do not always get a regular income.0

You've had 7 weeks since to submit your own reading?
Edit: just seen your reply, perhaps a phone call to SE might be in order?
There's nothing to stop you paying something on account at any time you like if you prefer not to use DD.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Like i have just posted................ i offered to do this,THEY DECLINED0

Sorry, I thought you meant you had submitted an online reading and it would not accept it.
As I said, I can only suggest that you pay something on account if you have the money now but feel you may not in a month or so.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
It never fails to amaze me,i am self employed and i struggle to get my owed money in,yet arrogant Southern Electric dont want theres lol.I must be doing wrong.Maybe i am in the wrong business lol

I'm really surprised as I have given odd readings at times and they have always accepted it.I would ring back and ask them to make sure you haven't been switched to 6 monthly billing by mistake.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Just send Southern Electric an email, along these lines:Account Numbers: xxx and xxx
Please could you generate a bill immediately based on the following meter readings, which were read on 06/04/2010:
Electricity xxxxx
Gas xxxxx

This is one of the first times I've ever heard of a company declining a meter reading from a customer... mental.0
