hi, in januray 2009 i received a phone call from someone representing Allison and reilly solicitors and asked me if i was interested in reclaiming my credit card charges. of course i said yes and a year down the line in january 2010 i receive offers within days of each other for my rbs and mint cards.
i had received a few letters of correspondence from the law firm throughout the year. Namely about 5 letters wanting a signature saying i wanted them to represent me.
anyway i accepted the offers i received in january, and therefore got my bill from the solicitors.
obviously i didnt have the necessary money to pay them straight away so i thought ill just pay using whatever i am awarded. however 3 months down the line now, i have received no payments from mint or rbs to my credit accounts and the law firm say i must pay 230 quid in fees within 7 days or they will take legal proceedings. ill be able to get the money by then so am not worried by that as such but i am worried i will be paying for something(their service) for something i may never receive(my money on my cards).
so basically all i wanted to know was has anybody had any dealings with this particular firm Allison and Reilly, and how was your experience with them and if anybody could tell me how long it usually takes for 'sucessful' claims to be credited on mint or rbs cards so i can get some idea of whats going on.
i dont want to call the credit card company directly just yet incase they threaten to close my accoun or any such thing. also i have recieved or heard nothing from mint or rbs regarding these claims. should i be worried?
Thanks in advance

Was the money paid directly to the credit cards?

Did the bank pay you directly the money or did they pay in onto the credit cards?0 -
i asked them(the solicitors) when i would receive the money and they said 'it is usually added onto your next statement', so paid direct onto your card from what i can gather. 3 satements later for both cards, still no money.0

Then ask the solicitors to chase this up and send them proof that you have received NO PAYMENT. Furthermore write to both cards directly and ask for PROOF as to where the payment was sent since your solicitors say they haven't got it and you cannot find it on your statements.0
