Hi all, im new here.. First question is, i live with my parents due to mental health problems, is there anything im entitled to that would help pay my rent.
I get IB and DLA low rate
Dad dosnt work
Mum works
And have 2 sisters one dosnt work and has a baby and other sister is a part time student at college.
Other question is my baby was born with gastroschisis (bowels outside) everything is ok now apart from i have to check occasionally there is no blood in his stools and he has problems passing stools (constipation) and grunts even with diarrhea, would i be entitled DLA?
Thanks

Living with parents nope not entitled to help with rent.
I doubt you will be entitled to dla, if all you are doing is checking stools.*SIGH*0 -
Unfortunately, no, as stated, HB cannot be paid if you live with a close relative.
If your parents rent, they could make a claim for Housing Benefit and /or council tax benefit and Council Tax Benefit if they are owner occupiers. You would be treated as a non dep and your income of Incap and DLA would be taken into account and a non deduction would be taken unless your folks are on DLA Care.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
