grow sweet peas inbetween rasps?

Hi not sure if anyone will be able to tell me if it will be ok to plant sweet peas inbetween my rasp canes?
Or is it a big no-no?
I was thinking the sweet peas will have enough space to grow up aswell as rasps?
hmm this new to gardening lark is confusing if u stop and think:rotfl:

I can't see why not. Just remember that the sweet peas may shade the rasps, and also compete for goodness from the soil, but other than that I can't see a problem.

thankyou payback :-) I put some in between 2 canes,,the canes are autumn bliss and flower later in summer (i hope) so maybe the sweet peas will be done by then. I put plenty of plant food and will 'feed' them when i remember!
I figured i should put them inbetween those canes rather than the earlier fruiting canes i have. Its such a great feeling to be planting something else in the garden :-)
