Eon

One word about Eon, dont change to them!

Ive had nothing but hassle since i changed via a comparison site, i am on Dual Fuel, the Electric was still with the original supplier after 7 months and i never knew about untill i got a bill!
Customer services are like programmed robots and wont adapt or try to help in a positive way, my house does not use £840 of fuel a year!
NPower to the rescue they calculated my consumption very accurately, and now im paying £41 a month for both fuels as opposed to £70 with Eon.
Stay away from them...

Just make sure that £41 is enough. I must say that is exceptionally low. I have the lowest bills of anybody I know (living in a rented flat with a newly installed boiler which is serviced and inspected [as by the law] every 12mo and being at work more hours than I'm at home kind of helps!). My electricity bill is around £25 per month and by gas would be £30 per month if I were on a monthly fixed direct debit. After being with them for one month, give a meter reading for gas and electricity over the phone and ask for the balance based on the readings, just to check of course. Obviously, consumption might be slightly higher now than in August, but it'll give you a good idea!

Yes you are correct in what you say, i too live alone, its a small place and ive been here some 10 years, i have a good idea on yearly consumption, but, taken this into account, Eon refused to accept i use what i say i use.

Bizzarre, who else has lived here and know the place better than me?

What was annoying was being treated like an idiot, hence, im moving..

    Hi

I'm simlar to you: one-bed flat, 4 year old boiler. My boiler safety check is this month. Electric is £36.00 a month and gas is £18.00. (I spent most of last winter at home using a electric heater. Boiler is partially fixed and I can now use the central heating:). Just need a wall thermostat and the wireless thing in the boiler)

My neighbour is out all day and with Scottish Power. He is suppose to pay £48.00 a month cash for his electric. He does have a credit meter but it seems a lot. (He can be a bit casual when it come to reading his post. Wondering if there's a debt he hasn't told me about  ). He has gas central heating.
