Comet - how long is acceptable to wait?

Hi
TV (originally over £1100) has broken down for 3rd time and on this occasion I have been waiting for 6 weeks and it still has not been repaired or replaced despite having Comets "Total Product Cover"
The policy makes the usual claims about fast, reliable, no hassle, most repairs in 7 days, engineer visit, usually in 2 days etc etc - of course Comet have not come even close to any of the "guarantees" they offer.
I wont bore you with the horrific customer service team or the details of how many times they have broken promises etc - the real question is how log do you think is "still within acceptable service standards" for them to replace the TV.
They agreed to write it off 2 weeks ago but I am still waiting for any details of how and when I will get a replacement.
The customer service team tell me 6 weeks (and counting) is acceptable - do you agree - any advice on how to take it further?
Thanks
Brian

Write and record that they have agreed to write it off. Insist on refund within 14 days otherwise you will go to the small claims court.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
