help - attic sale

Hi

I am going an attic sale tonight to clear out my junk and make some money. What prices would you sell these for?
sim cards (mainly O2)
panasonic gd87 camera phone
pedometers
magazines (girlie ones like cosmo, new woman, red, zest etc)
clothes - some brand new with label on & others only worn a few times
shoes - not worn much
books (paperback only read once, good condition and some still new in shops)

My biggest concern is the clothes (I buy things and never take them back) is half price to much to ask?

Thanks

I'm assuming that attic sales attract the same sort of buyers as car boot sales. In which case then unfortunately half price for clothes is too much. I did a car boot sale recently and sold a few (very few) brand new labelled items for £1 or less. Magazines go for about 5-1op, I couldn't sell nearly new boots and shoes but you should be OK with Sim cards.

    Good luck

  • You can get O2 sim cards for free so i don't think you will get much, if anything, for them.

Used magazines and paperbacks will not make much either.

People will offer as little as they think they can get away with at these types of sael. You would probably make more selling on ebay.
  • How did you get on then, Skye? I don't think you'd make much on ebay for most of the items mentioned, the exception being the camera phone, which would probably make more on eBay.

Thanks for the replies. Made about £65. Only sold 2 T mobile sims. Sold someclothes at a quarter of the price. Clothes without labels went for about £1-2. Some dvds went at £2. Only got rid of about 5 magazines (for £1). No books sold. The thing that went best was perfume and hair stuff (shampoos and treatments etc). Wouldn't bother with new things (ebay would be better - it's just I'm too lazy to put things on very often). Sold about a quarter (if that) of the things I took. Phone didn't sell.
