So it's possible to build your credit rating while with the cccs?

    No!
If you are on a DMP or IVA with the CCCS then it's been repeated on here frequently that all debt is to be told to them - not telling them about some breaks the agreement. Going into more debt is the same thing (and stupid)

Sorry I don't know about cccs but I assume that it will eventually go off report. If you manage to open another account and keep the payments it will show up that you have had it for years when the other things are wiped off.

I had a default and some missed payments, I got a credit card a rubbish credit card with barclays £200 limit. Two years after got a better one. Now missed payments have gone and default but the payments made on time from 4 years ago still show. I now have a good payment history going back 4 years.

I only had a settled default when I started rebuilding mine. Just ignore me I don't want to give anyone wrong information.

I wasn't meaning borrowing more money!! But, if you're on a payment plan with cccs and you make those payments faithfully for say 2-3 years then can that build your credit history?

    No.

Even if you could I don't think it would do anything much to counterbalance all the defaults / late payment marks gained when first going onto the DMP / IVA
