Dell monitoring temperature

I have a Dell and can't seem to find a way to get any of the cpu temp. I have tried Everest, Sandra and Speedfan but no core temps, nothing.

I've tried for a P4, Pentium D and Core 2 system. The only reading I get is for HDD temperature on one system which I'm not even too fussed about.

Is it just impossible to get temperature readings for Dells?

Will depend on what the motherboard is capable of and could well vary by model number, do you know anything about what motherboard and motherboard chipset you have?

EDIT: If for example you have an Nvidia/nforce chipset have you tried Nvidia system monitor?

Works fine on Dells - unless yours is old enough to have a Pentium chip...<grrrrh>
