    Well I complained. They said it was my fault. I complained again, saying that I would refer them to the financial ombudsman. I wrote to Martin as well as several of the financial pages.

    And guess what - they paid up! I received a cheque from Sainsburys this morning! They have said that, although they think the terms and conditions are fair, they are going to pay me the 3% interest on the £100,000 anyway.

    Hurrah hurrah hurrah

    I imagine that you would have had a case under the unfair contract terms act, that may be why they paid out.
