I believe the site covers the whole of UK and there are actually precedents for criminal actions. If it were a civil action it would cost about £40 to take out a small claims court case - probably worth it for someone who has been upset. I think you will find your dispute is a civil matter - however once you blatantly damaged someone elses property it could become a criminal matter. I dont know who advised you but as I keep saying, go on Garden Law where they are well experienced in all these sort of probs.
olbas, the latter probably wont have a chain saw licence? Public Liability is the minimum insurance required by any self employed person. Check all your queries with your local trading standards office so that you have the correct info.0 -
