Home Buyers Insurance?

We are currently taking the first steps in buying a new home after accepting an offer on ours. I am keen to get things moving asap but am worried about spending money on surveys etc in case we lose this house by being gazumped or something, as there was a lot of interest in the house we are buying and I can't quite believe that our offer has been accepted!

I have heard of home buyers insurance which seems like a good idea to protect against lost money for surveys etc. if the seller pulls out or you get gazumped but was wondering if anyone had any experience of these types of insurance policies and whether they are worth it? I have found ones for about £70 that seem to cover up to £1500 or fees in the event that the sale falls through, or I also found one by Edwards Associates that seemed on the face of it to cover more but not sure it's the same type of policy - it costs £31.50.

Any thoughts? Obviously don't want to waste money if not worth it but also can't really afford to lose valuation/survey fees etc if we lost this purchase...

Thanks for any help/advice :)
