Currys - Candy washer dryer

Hi Guys

Please help.... I bought a washer dryer from currys four months ago from currys and in that time it has broken down three times

I am sick of it and just want my money back as i cant keep on taking time off to wait for the repaire man to come and fix it and I abviously have the Friday machine.

I have spoken to Currys and asked to return the product and to get a refund as its not fit for purpose and they just brush me off saying its a manufactures warrentee so nothing to do with them. I speak to candy and they say they have three attempts to fix each indervidual fault and if they fail then I can get a refund, however all the faults are different so I have no claim for a refund......

Does anybody have any idea if I can claim against Currys as they sold me the product and get a refund?

To be fair candy have come out free of charge to fix the issues without any quible. But I am worried that once the warrantee ends I will be stuck with a rubish machine that breaks down every five minutes that I have to pay for.

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, you'd be entitled to either a repair or replacement but neither remedy should cause a "significant inconvenience". I would think it would be safe to argue that your machine having to be repaired 3 times in four months is indeed causing such an inconvenience therefore you may be entitled to a refund. Remind Currys of their legal obligations under the SOGA.
