How to reseed a lawn?
The lawn had some leaves covering it over winter and the grass underneath it has died back. I bought some lawnseed from wilko's yesterday and just figuring out the best way to reseed the bare patches.
We have LOTS of birds and all sorts of wildlife so something that will make sure my lawnseed doesn't become expensive birdfood will be great

I would try to mix it with some wet compost or sand before you apply it. The professional way to do it apparently on sports pitches is to mix seeds water and compost and then spray the lot on!Adventure before Dementia!0

I tend to lay grass seed on the patch and put a fine layer of compost (couple of mm) over the grass seed and then water with a sprinkle in a watering can. Keep well a watered but not too much for next few weeks not a problem at moment due to rubbish weather0
