I sometimes venture out on to the other boards, and then come scuttling back here as quick as anything!

I have a couple of times asked what I thought were non controversial questions on other boards and been had a go at, so have not bothered any more.

I go on, read what I need to read and work it out myself, much easier.

I was watching the Jeremy Kyle show earlier and they had a woman who had single handedly adopted 8 downs syndrome children and had been accused of basically living off benefits and of taking these kids away from their homes (?) - she said that when she had started the kids were basically locked up in hospitals.
Another woman had 2 children with severe skin conditions and had been accused of letting them get sun burned.
Some people are just really ignorant of the facts and like has already been said it's easy to say whatever you like on the internet and be some kind of bully.

At least you tried to help someone, don't let others make you feel bad for being a decent person.

I wonder what it must be like to be perfect and to have never made a mistake in your life. Curiously, a considerable number of them seem to be able to reprimand and reproach the 'workshy' and 'irresponsible' all hours of the day and night. Which makes me question what cushy jobs they must be doing (not to mention what self sufficient, perfect children some must have) to have the time and energy to look down on others for so many hours a day.

I've been out of work and I'm certainly not workshy. I've also had an unplanned pregnancy (due to faulty merchandise) and ended up with my gorgeous youngest daughter and I'm not about to apologise to anyone for that.

Let people sit in their ivory towers passing judgement on others from the safety of their own homes, it means they don't have to look too closely at their own lives and faults.

Just going to echo the web comments, what they say on the forum is nothing they would be willing to say in person. The online persona/avatar protects their identity from there comments.
Not everyone will have experienced or ever experience some of the things you go though so won't understand, and lash out with stereotypical comments. A bad bunch of people of benefits gives everyone on them a bad image. Maybe if they get slammed into your position they will have the wonderful time of been turned down for benefits.

I posted once on the employment board and i was flamed since then i am very reluctant to post anything . On DT i found the board very clicky and unwelcoming to new poster and some of the tread on the vent board are truly awful !. I think so far the Br board is the most welcoming and friendly .
