    I actually have a couple of people who know if there is space they will be 'bumped' up to day guests, they are fine with it as everyone knows weddings are not a budgetless event!!

    Having an A-list may have been "normal practice" when I got married first time round, but that was 26 years ago, and I wasn't sure of the current etiquette otherwise I wouldn't have asked the question!

    Well it still was when I got married 10 years ago & it still seems to be today with people I know. It is exactly what my friend is doing for her wedding next month.

    Best wishes having as many of the people you want there. We even had last minute (on the day) changes! Better than paying for a meal no one is going to eat.
