    **big deep breath**

Ok back again, had a slight shouting match with the mechanic (just dont need it), a good cry, cant face the thought of food at the moment and now have a nice cup of peppermint tea.........now chill!

Well, I have been getting quotes all day on the move, the best I can get is £150, which in the grand scheme of things is good, if I had that much to spend! They charge mileage on top or include it in the price. So as most are coming from Nottingham that is an extra 40 miles on top. I could hire a van and do it myself for the grand total of 50 quid plus diesal, however there is no way I can drive the bloody thing and they wont let the mechanic drive because of insurance reasons and the fact that he is not full time employed (rather daft if you ask me) I would prefer the man and a van option, and am trying desperately to figure out how to make it happen! As I still need to buy a fridge and stove and there is just not enough money to go around!! What I would not give to have a friend with a large van right about now!! anyway, enough about my prob, it will sort out one way or the other, even if I have to take out an expensive pay day loan thingy I will make it happen. (last resort that is)

M&P, I am so relieved you are ok, and I totally understand about losing yourself as that is what happened to me over the past several months. At the same time tho it is when you finally see that it is your chance to really start to take stock of life, decide what is most important, what you hold dear, what you can control and let go of the things that you cant! Life is far far too short!

Jo, funny about your comment earlier on the topic as during the interview this evening, I all but said exactly the same thing to them when it came to the bit about me being over qualified for the job etc etc. They seemed rather impressed when I finally told them all I wanted was the opportunity to prove that all I was saying was most sincere.

Toots, see I told ya she would love the totora *sp* you are so talented!!

Mabel, I used to love growing things, really miss not being able to....

NLID, well done on the first release and again if you want some help, just give me a shout

Amber, if you need a sounding board, give me a shout in PM or on msn, always around in some fashion if you want a friend to talk to. We have all been there at some point. Just please dont vanish for good!!

Saucey, sorry to hear you are still not feeling any better, perhaps lots and lots of proper rest and a little tlc will go a long ways. I agree with the others, if you are not happy with the GP find another one or ask for a referral.

Right off to finish catching up but I am still here lol x

    Damn- you sussed me out!

Lol Mambury I lugs ya really now bog off to bed!

Toots- I might have had a quick whisper....;-)
  • Munchki - I feel guilty now! I am your friend and I have a van, but neither me or the kn0bhead drive so don't know how that would work, plus it stinks of rotten squid (really not joking, hold your breath if you open the door!), if you can think of a way to get it you you and back, you are welcome to use it, petrol to and fro may just cancel out the saving though. Still have a table top electric oven I can send you if you need it to tide you over, can live without it for a while! It will fit in a box too so will cost less than a tenner to send. Fridge, hmmm, maybe post a wanted on freecycle to collect on Fri when you have the van? Worth a shot?

Jo - will let you know once I have worked it out in better detail xx

I have about 30 boxes give or take, a king size bed and mattress, a couple of tall bookshelves and a curio cabinet. Need a large transit van basically and it is all up in huddersfield!

Yes, seen the links have emailed and rang several today, average price is about 125 to 150ish. Yes, the peppermint tea is slowly kicking in LOL
