Opinions on this desktop pleaaaase :)

So i've been looking for a mid range desktop, mostly for downloading things/social networking/light gaming (mostly strategy games so rarely demanding high end graphics)

    For a 19" monitor that's a really low resolution!
    And the Blu-Ray drive will be an expensive and probably unnecessary component.

    Since it's already included at the price mentioned it doesn't matter as to whether it's an expensive component.

    The resolution of the monitor has probably something to do with it being a 16:9, optimised for widescreen films.

    Considering this system sold for around £500, it's good value.

    Partly true - because if they've spent £lots on a Blu-Ray drive then they would have had £less to spend on the other components...
