Brilliant - thanks very much for sharing this with us all!

This is just what I want - neither complicated or too basic. I won't embarass myself by saying how many attempts I've had at producing something like this for myself.

Might just manage to get our finances organised now,

Many thanks (but I could only click the button once ;) ) for all your time and effort and knowledge! Well impressed :D

Just downloaded it, plus the Openoffice that I needed for it to run on my computer. Now I can go play :j :j

    No problem at all ;)

It did take me a while to set up - several attempts, but got there in the end!

Plus I have tweaked it today, you may want to re-download it tomorrow or next day, depending when Rex_Mundi has time to upload it for me :D

Queenie - you're too kind - go play but you may also want to wait for the latest tweaked version - it won't make any huge difference though so don't worry too much :p

Just to let everyone know. I've received the latest version today, but I'm at my other house (I haven't got this computer setup to update the webpage). I wont get a chance to upload this version untill tomorrow (Fri) evening.

I'll post in here as soon as I've updated to the latest version to let you know.

If there are any other suggestions for the web page (more/better instructions, any other ideas to make it better for you all). Please let me know, so I can consider the changes at the same time as uploading the latest version of the spreadsheet.

Ah, now that you've asked ( :o ) do the instructions *need* to be on a seperate page? I needed to download OpenOffice (and their instructions) and so I ended up with a multitude of windows open. I know it's only a little thing, but, personally, I'd find it far more useful to have the instructions on the same page as the download (below would be fine so it doesn't detract from those returning for the updates).

I won't mention the colour scheme because that is simply me being picky about my personal likes/dislikes ;) :rotfl:

And finally ... thank you Rex :D:D:D Between the two of you today, you've made me a happy Queenie :D

    LOL.............Wow.

First of all. The download page was the first creation (purely for this spreadsheet). The instructions page was added afterwards (so I put this on a different page).

    Opening in other windows.................

Now I've got to admit that I followed my own habits with this. I always open new links in a new window. This way, I can stay on the original page I was on, and can also view the new link. I quite often work with over 15/20 open webpages on my taskbar (at the bottom). I always keep a track in my mind of which one is which link, so I find this easy to follow.

If people can post here that they prefer all the links to open in the same (just one) window, (or whether they prefer a new window each link). I will change all the links to do this. I'm more than happy to follow the majority choice of all of you. This page was created only for this download. My aim is to keep this as simple as possible for everyone.

Ouch!!!! I like yellow/Blue!!! (LOL...........I didn't think they were that bad).

    LOL.................

Even on this. If anyone has preferences for a different colour scheme for the download page (you need to give your background colour/and text colour/and download button colour you like). I will give these a go, and if there are a few suggestions. I will do a page for each colour choice and let you all vote on the one you want. If another colour wins the vote, I will change the page to the winning colours.

I have to thank EagerLearner here for giving me the opportunity to help out other members of MSE. It really is a pleasure to be able to help other members out.

I also have to thank the MSE team for allowing EagerLeaner and myself to include links in our signature for this download. They are very strict on permission for signature links, and it felt really good to get approval from the team for this link.
