Working Tax Credits Entitlement

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me how much Working Tax Credits I would be entitled to in the new tax year? I earned approx £7,000 working 30 hours a week last year, which has increased from £6,000 the previous year. I previously got £54 a week in tax credits but am afraid I won't be entitled to as much the time round.
Thanks,
Goldi xx

Are you getting paid less than the minimum wage? Because even if you were getting £5 per hour, this times 30 hours = £150 per week times 52 weeks a year = £7,800.00.
So if I were you I would check that and if you are getting below the minimum wage speak to your employer as its illegal to pay below this is currently £5.80 per hour if you are over age 22 years.
If you are aged 18-21 I think its roughly £4.80 per hour.
Have you tried entitled to dot com, you can put your details in there and it works it out for you.
Best of luck.0 -
Thanks Seashells,
No, I'm getting paid just around minimum wage but my hours were reduced earlier in the tax year because I was still studying so it works out that I have made £7,000 altogether last year.

If your hours have been reduced to less than 30 hours a week you shouldn't be able to claim working tax credits.0

They haven't been reduced, they've been increased. I am currently working 30.5 hours a week.0

you only get tax credits for working 16 hours if you are disabled or have kiddies.
goldilocks....you said earlier in the year your hours were reduced and thats why you only earnt £7000. if they were less than 30 a week EVERY week, you shouldnt have claimed duyring that time.0 -

I think goldilockz is saying her hours have fluctuated over the year. With recent hours being higher at 30.5.
