I get several a day on various accounts. Some of the accounts are not even associated with ebay or paypal.

I set up filters on my mail account to divert any emails with the words 'confirm' or 'verify' to my junk mailbox.

If it's getting really bad, and you're getting a lot of them, consider changing your email address.

I don't get paypal ones, just ones for viagra, valium and gold from China. *yawn*

    Report a Scam

    THANK YOU!

Last year we received over 32,000 emails from members of the public, and we receive hundreds more every day. We use all this information to quickly spot new scams and take down fraudulent web sites and email addresses so as to protect bank customers. The data that you send us is also highly valuable in tracking down the perpetrators of these crimes.

Please help us to track down phishing, trojan and money mule recruitment emails by sending your suspect email to us.

You can do this by either:

    1. Forwarding your suspect email
Open the suspect email, click the forward button, and send it to the following email address: reports@banksafeonline.org.uk

    2. Attaching the suspect email to a new email
Create a new email in your PC or Mac based email software, and drag and drop the suspect email from your inbox into the body section of the new email.

Please note that this method will not work for web based email services e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail etc.

Please note that due to the high numbers of reports we receive we will not be able to respond to your email.

If you require a response from us please send us a request advice email .

    Thank you.

The Bank ones seem to be increasing of late - perhaps it's their flavour of the month. Had to admit the latest one made me smile a bit - I didn't even know I had an account with Wells Fargo!
