Very basic mobile phone needed

I need to get the most basic mobile phone possible for my old mum, so she can call her sprogs when necessary while out and about. She is very set against technology and will take some persuading, so anything with an excess of bells and whistles will just put her off! All she needs to be able to do is press a couple of (large, clear) buttons and shout 'I'm on the bus, don't worry!' Even texting is not really necessary.
Any recommendations for a model? I am not very techy myself and don't know precisely what I'm looking for. (My own phone is practically vintage and I won't be giving it up till it actually conks out.)

The Nokia 1600 is good, it's part of their 'ultrabasic' range and can be got for under £20 and unlocked with ease. It has a great battery life as well, can go for a couple of weeks between charges.0

Try the Nokia 1661, from £7.95 at Carphone Warehouse (plus £5 Quidco):

or from e2save (part of CarphoneW) for similar price, but better Quidco (£10)
Both usually come unlocked, in particular if you pick a major network
£10 compulsory top up needed with both.0 -
The Samsung 1100 from CarphoneWarehouse is quite good. It has reasonable keys which are easy to use. Its currently £3.95 plus a £10 virgin topup (I paid £4.95 about 2 months ago). If you buy it from CPW it comes unlocked as well.0
