Just working a basic size its seems an expensive way to buy MDF. You are better off going to a local timber merchants and asking them to cut it to size. Will work out much cheaper.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Some of the B&Q stores have panel saws - at our local one it is 4 cuts for free, 50p per cut thereafter. Don't forget to take a cutting plan.0

Same here, this is definatelt the cheapest way to go.
I've had loads of sheet cut at B&Q, often more than 4 cuts but never been charged, although the sign does state 4 free cuts then 50p per cut.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Def go to a local timber merchant or shed, most will charge around 50p per cut .The site linked also only has 8x4 sheets which TBH for a company promoting a cutting service they would stock 10x5 sheets , more economic........If you shop around you can by 18mm 8x4 sheets for under £15-00.......0

Go to B&Q or look on their site and plan out how you want a board cut. If you have it planned so that they have the minimum number of adjustments to make on their saw, then they won't charge you for the cuts. I've had several boards cut at different stores, and have never been charged (and we're talking perhaps 12 cuts each time). I have however seen people who turn up without a clue as to what they want and they are charged.
Each time I draw it out on a piece of paper, numbering the cuts to show the order. If you do it right, you'll also know that each piece is exactly the same length/size as any other piece its supposed to match or line up with.0
