I love the concept of this thead

    but its long a detailed.

How about breaking meals plans, recipies into sep sections

    breckfast
    lunch
    dinner
    snacks.

all costed so people can pick and chose their planners then.

maybe have a list of staples.

inform people that if they opt for value its x amount cheaper still.

Its all about levels of dedication and slill.
    maybe 3levels

    begginer
    experienced
    hardcore

people can then move up and down plan thats right for them.

will definatly look up last 284pages in hope for ideas.

would love to feed whole family 4
    2adults
    2kids
    no pets
    includes snacks, fruit
    breck,lunch and dinner for 5quid a day.

I have finally managed to catch up with the thread :j

Many congrats to Mr Arty :T

And also Many congrats to Howlin :T
I am of course insanely jealous... I currently overpay my mortgage by £80 a month... I soooo wish it was near the end :o But I have a few more years yet :(

Hayley... I am not sure how this works, or if its available to you, regarding the electric meter thingy...
But British/Scottish Gas are doing an Energy smart thing at the moment, and you get one of these electric meter things free I believe.
I keep meaing to look into it, but keep getting sidetracked :o
    LINKY

And talking of getting side tracked....
I called Asda today, regarding the firming agent in the kidney beans.
    I asked ....
How much calcium choride was in each tin ie what percentage and in grams?
If the calcium chloride is in the water, what absorbtion rate, if any, would be incorporated into the beans

They have taken a note of my queries, and will email me with answers, hopefully next week sometime. :D

Off out for a walk now, then I will be making some houmous/tomatomous and maybe some carmelonionous :D
Oh, and a chickpea curry for tea :D

    tomatomous:

200g dry weight chick peas cooked as per packet instructions
    170ml oil
    50g tomato puree
    15ml balsamic vinegar
    2 teaspoons garlic powder
    salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp chilli
    Method

chickpeas2.jpg Place all the ingredients except oil in a food processor, then gradually add the oil whilst pulsing the food processor until you have achieved a loose runny consistency a bit like natural yoghurt or double cream.

Make once in the month- serve 10g per person per meal, can be frozen.
