I sent in a claim weeks ago but have as yet received nothing. Has anyone else experienced delays?

it says on the site allow 28 working days for claims to be settled, when we sent our claim in it took 5 weeks for the money to land in bank account0

I sent my claim in on 26th March and heard nothing but assumed it was because of the 28 day turnover. Had an e-mail on Sunday to say voucher had expired but still not worried. Phoned yesterday to check the progress of my claim and was told as the voucher had expired I could no longer claim. When I explained I had sent everything in as required a month ago she said they hadn't received it and ... you guessed it.... the voucher had now expired. I have photocopies of everything I sent but apparently that is no good. She said should have sent it all recorded delivery. Where does it say that in the instructions!!0

At the point whereRoyal Mail say any important or valuable documents should be sent by Recorded as First only offers compensation up to £41. Even if it's not physically money you are sending, any document that you are reliant on for getting any reasonable amount of money from should go via some form of recorded/special mail IMO. Still worth chasing them for though, you may find someone more approachable on another call0 -
Would have been worth spending 65p in order to save £400. Unless you have a POD there's little more you can do.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
