My cordless phone was playing up today so i unplugged the power supply from the wall and then removed the phone cable from the BT socket.
That seemed to cure the problem i was having of no dialling tone.
However, when i made a phone call the orchid dialler had lost its time routing settings and routed the call away from BT.
I understand that unpluging the phone line would have cleared the time settings, but i also use a power supply to the orchid dialler and i assumed that the orchid dialler would keep the settings as it was still powered.
Does this mean that the power supply to the orchid dialler isnt working ?
thanks

Your assumption about its behaviour is correct.
Maybe; but might you not have inadvertently unplugged the dialer when you unplugged the phone?Does this mean that the power supply to the orchid dialler isnt working ?0 -
I bought the V4+ because, at the time, Orchid asserted that the 'powered' version was needed to ensure Caller Display information passed through and the 'one or other connected will retain time/day/date information' bonus 'feature'.
However, I then developed a procedure of always resetting the time on the odd occasion that I disconnected either!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
