My free gardening kit from plantoffers.com came today. It's quite sweet. Has a trowel, transplanting trowel, hand fork, two pairs of cutters, tiny misting bottle andgardening gloves in a dinky white bag. Also 5 packs of seeds - marigolds, nasturtiums, white cornflowers, dianthus and cosmos. So all in all not bad for the money. My potato planters haven't arrived yet, assume they'll come separately.

Morrisons have 2 trays of plants for £3 at the moment. Or trays of 5 or 8 for £1.

    Hi LizEstelle

I usually buy plants (that are seriously reduced) from homebase etc and for years, I bought special seeds from Thomson & Morgan etc... but this year, I decided to buy some plants on the internet instead of seeds... Well, I have to say the plants I got from Thomson & Morgan left a lot to be desired -- they had to replace one lot twice and I am waiting on another one being replaced... However, I also bought plants from Jersey Plants direct ... eg 100 spring plants and 60 free from £9.99... so I thought, if Thomson & Morgan's stuff was below par... I didn't hold up much hope for the cheaper ones... well, lo and behold the Jersey ones were perfect... No damage, no mould, just perfect little plants... They were the mini plugs, so they need a little looking after but for the number you get, it is worth looking at their site...

    Cheers
