Fridge moisture

About three months ago, I moved into a new, furnished flat with a new, small, fridge freezer.

The back of the fridge is always covered in moisture. There is a plastic kind of peg/plug in a hole at the back, at the bottom. Am I supposed to take the peg/plug out and let the moisture go down that hole?

There is an instruction booklet with the fridge but it doesn't mention it!

Does the build up of moisture mean my fridge is working inefficiently?

Google the model of the fridge and you might be able to download a manual.

Probably, the moisture should run out of the hole into a sponge at the back outside, then evaporate. The plug may be for when you're washing the fridge out, to prevent floods.
